Mustafa

Racheal met Mustafa for the first time when she was invited by a friend to a birthday party. Mustafa was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a disorder affecting movement and posture. Sadly his family, Syrian Refugees living in Iraqi Kurdistan were unable to provide for some of his needs as a special needs child. At the age of 10 Mustafa was still unable to sit up and spent most of his time on the floor. Moved to help, Racheal mobilized donors and physicians to provide Mustafa and his family with physiotherapy sessions and a customized wheelchair providing the support he needed. Now Mustafa can comfortably sit up and interact with his family and the rest of the world in a whole new way!
