A Father’s Devotion
While much of our team was abroad, Dania’s father took responsibility for an extraordinary task. He coordinated the transport of medical supplies from the U.S. army base to the Raparin Teaching Hospital for Children in Erbil, and ensured that every item was delivered safely. What he carried was not just a shipment of supplies, but a burden of hope for his daughter, for other families like his, and for the children in Kurdistan whose futures depend on access to medical resources. This represents just one of the many times he has volunteered since his daughter received her life saving surgery in Italy with Love Them All.
Stories such as his remind us that Love Them All’s work has never been only about medicine. It is also about relationships that emerge in unexpected ways. Families who began as recipients of care have become partners in the mission, lending their strength to ensure that other children have what they need.

Partners in Action
Behind this effort stood another key partner: Global Samaritan Resources. Over the years, their team has consistently reached out whenever pediatric medical supplies became available. We, in turn, work with children’s hospitals across Kurdistan so that physicians can request the items they need. This shipment included infant incubators, resuscitation bags, and an infant T-piece resuscitator. Donations are sourced from many hospitals across the US. This shipment included donations from a facility in the Puget Sound region in Washington State.
The logistics of such deliveries are made possible through Global Samaritan’s unique partnership with the U.S. Army. This arrangement allows critical supplies to be transported on military aircraft whenever space is available, removing the barrier of shipping costs and ensuring that aid can reach Iraq. It is a remarkable model of cooperation that delivers tangible results.
Upon the shipment’s arrival to the U.S. army base, another partner stepped in to provide temporary storage while delivery logistics were being made. Good friends of Love Them All provided this storage completely free of charge.
A Shared Future
All of these threads with families stepping forward, humanitarian partners reaching out, and military resources being mobilized – converged in the moment we can now celebrate: a long-awaited shipment of medical supplies has reached Raparin Teaching Hospital.
Our relationship with Raparin is longstanding and profound. Since our earliest days in Kurdistan, Love Them All has worked alongside the hospital’s staff to bring life-saving interventions to children with congenital heart disease and to strengthen the broader capacity of pediatric care. Each delivery builds on that shared history, equipping dedicated doctors and nurses with the tools that support their efforts to continue saving lives.
What arrived in Erbil may look like just another delivery, but in truth, it represents something greater: a renewed commitment to the children of Kurdistan and to the partnerships that supports the medical community.
